The COVID -19 pandemic has affected aviation globally. It has brought travel restrictions. To meet operations efficiency in this turbulent time, Eswatini Airlink who operates scheduled flights between KMIII International Airport and OR Tambo International Airport has reduced the number of scheduled flights to one flight per day until further notice.

To accommodate the reduced flights, KMIII International Airport has revised its operation hours. The Airport now operates from 09h00 to 15h00 local time daily.

Operational hours will be reviewed from time to time in response to the demand by airline and aircraft operators. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Airport is amenable to attending to special requests by aircraft operators outside of the stated times.

The Airport also takes into consideration the safety of its employees during this period. Overcrowded workspaces and prolonged working hours may also pose a threat to the lives of the employees and aviation in the Kingdom in general.  This change is earmarked to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Aviation stakeholders are guaranteed that this move is only temporal and that operational hours will resume to normal as soon as circumstances change or as soon as there are new developments with regards to aircraft operation.
